A leading aerospace manufacturer is seeking an Assembly Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader to join their high-performing team in Burnley. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role within a globally recognised organisation, supporting cutting-edge aerospace programmes.
The Role
You'll lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers supporting major programmes including A330neo, HTF, Trent, and F7X. This hands-on leadership role involves:
* Managing and developing a team of engineers, overseeing deployment, skills development and performance management.
* Supporting HR policy deployment and attendance management.
* Driving engineering improvements related to product delivery, quality, and operational efficiency.
* Collaborating closely with programme teams to define resource budgets and improvement initiatives.
* Championing innovation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engagement.
* Ensuring all activity aligns with health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements.
What We're Looking For
* A bachelor's degree in an engineering-related discipline (or equivalent experience).
* Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering, ideally within aerospace or a similar high-precision sector.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience leading teams and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
* Sound knowledge of engineering economics and how it influences operational performance.
* Solid project/programme management skills.
Desirable:
* A formal leadership qualification.
* Prior experience within aerospace manufacturing engineering.
