About The Role
Together we can change children’s lives. At Place2Be, we believe every child should have easy access to mental health support whenever they need it. We create a safe place in schools where children and young people can open up without pressure or stigma, allowing our highly skilled and diverse counsellors to reach children, young people, and their families who need us.
A qualified therapist/counsellor with at least one year of experience, you’re ready to take the next step. As a Place2Be Supervising Counsellor, your main focus will be assessment and formulation of referrals, supporting and overseeing the work of Counsellors on Placement, enabling them to deliver interventions across all year groups and achieve the best outcomes for the young people we support. You will still deliver some therapeutic work with children, including group and whole-class work, but primarily, you’ll shape the clinical delivery of services within your school.
As part of a large community of practitioners across the UK, you’ll have opportunities to share best practices, develop your clinical thinking, knowledge, and learning. You’ll have access to extensive training and development opportunities and a clear pathway to grow your career.
For a career with purpose, this is your place.
