This client is a market leader in robotic solutions for the oil and gas sector, serving global oil majors across the UK and Ireland. With access to significant engineering design and manufacturing capabilities, they are expanding their team with a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer.
Your new role
This is a key technical leadership position focused on designing and developing innovative robotic equipment and attachments, ensuringpliance with CE marking, ATEX, and other industry standards. You will collaborate closely with operations and sales teams to create bespoke solutions for on-site challenges and oversee manufacturing within our advanced facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leadingplex engineering design projects from concept topletion.
2. Driving innovation using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, ensuring robust, manufacturable designs.
3. Mentoring junior engineers and fostering technical excellence.
4. Conducting design reviews, risk assessments, and ensuring regulatorypliance.
5. Liaising with suppliers forponents and custom parts.
6. Supporting quality assurance processes, including ISO 9001 audits.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering or manufacturing.
8. Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and strong AutoCAD skills.
9. In-depth knowledge of metal fabrication and manufacturing processes.
10. Proven ability to solveplex engineering problems and manage multiple projects.
11. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
12. Excellentmunication and organisational skills.
13. HNC/HND in Engineering (Degree preferred).
