The Role
The Business Analyst will be responsible for capturing and defining business requirements and ensuring their delivery within the IT Service Management function, focusing on the ServiceNow ITOM platform.
Key Responsibilities
* Understand current 'as is' processes
* Specify requirements for enhancements to existing ITSM/ITOM tools and processes
* Lead ITSM customer working groups to gather requirements
* Interact directly with customers and development teams
* Identify areas for process and tooling improvements
* Define and assess process gaps
* Create functional specifications for 'target state' processes
* Collaborate with development teams throughout all phases
* Develop test strategies and participate in testing phases
* Coordinate user acceptance testing with stakeholders
* Engage with BA teams in other ITSM streams
* Participate in customer and stakeholder engagement sessions
* Own responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle
* Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and tools
* Familiar with Agile methods, including Scrum
Key Skills
* Deep understanding of ServiceNow's ITSM/ITOM modules and ability to align business requirements with platform implementation
* Experience with modules such as Change, Incident, Problem, Knowledge, CMDB, Service Catalog
* Experience in business and operational architecture design
* Knowledge of services and products offered by Service Management and related business areas
Desirable Skills
* Ability to lead complex briefings with senior stakeholders and define solutions
* Proficiency with business analysis tools and templates
* Ability to manage trade-offs within constraints
* Up-to-date with developments in the field
