Social Worker required for the Children in Need/Child Protection team. Duties will include carrying out S47 assessments and court work. Must have experience in CIN and CP.
Admin and office work will be carried out remotely, but the successful candidate will be required to conduct face-to-face assessments for children in school or home settings.
Qualifications and skills:
* Experience or transferable skills in working with a busy team of frontline social workers, including Child in Need, Child Protection, initial public law court work, and private law report writing.
* Knowledge of Signs of Safety; ABE training is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills with children and their families.
* Experience working as part of a team and autonomously.
* Multi-agency working experience.
* Competent assessment and report writing skills.
* IT skills to access electronic systems used by the Local Authority.
* Availability to work as a duty social worker on a rota basis.
* Driving license is required, as Suffolk is a rural county.
