Post Title: Learning Support Assistant (SEN)

Responsible to: SENCO

Location: Mount St Joseph Catholic School

Salary: Grade 4 SCP Actual Salary £19,918 - £21,230 (£26,403- £28,142 FTE)

Term of Contract: Permanent

Working pattern: Term Time Only Plus 3 days

Hours per week: 32.5

Start date: As soon as possible

Mount St Joseph Catholic School are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant (SEN). This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust

The main responsibilities of the role are:

* To have the ability to work under the direction/guidance of the class teacher/SEN Co-ordinator to support particular pupil(s) to access the curriculum in the most effective way, appropriate to their needs and understanding.
* To assist in the delivery of the provision as outlined in statements of special educational needs.
* To assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment.
* Provide support for teaching and learning activities. Contribute to students' development and safeguarding.
* Help to keep students safe, including maintaining a safe environment, dealing with accidents, supporting safeguarding.
* To promote the inclusion of all students.
