Payroll Officer with Accounts - 12 Month FTC (Potential to Extend)
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading organisation in Belfast City Centre as a Payroll Officer with Accounts. This is an initial 12-month fixed-term contract with the strong possibility of extension or becoming permanent. You'll be part of a collaborative finance team, gaining exposure to payroll, accounts, and reporting across the UK, ROI, and international operations. What You'll Do
* Process monthly payroll for UK and ROI teams, ensuring compliance with HMRC and Revenue submissions
* Support bank reconciliations, margin analysis, and internal financial reporting
* Manage the sales ledger including payment allocation, account reconciliation, and credit control assistance
* Handle purchase ledger duties: invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, and payment runs
* Maintain the fixed asset register and carry out monthly reconciliations
* Assist with audit preparation, reporting packs, and provide general finance team support
About You
* 3+ years' experience in a finance role
* Proven end-to-end payroll experience
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities
* Excellent communicator and team player
* Confident using Excel, with experience of Sage (UK/ROI) or similar payroll/accounting systems
* Working towards IATI or CIPP is desirable
