Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh office, 2 days per week for this position.

We're looking for a Tax Reporting Manager to join our Insurance and Money Services team.
You'll have exposure across the Finance function in this role, providing confidence in the integrity of all tax reporting outputs. You will be responsible for delivering accurate tax accounting and reporting in accordance with HMRC guidance and legislation, within an appropriately controlled reporting environment.
This role will best suit someone who can demonstrate a track record of taking ownership for key reporting outputs, an ability to interpret complex requirements, and has a real desire to learn and become a go to person within the business.
Key stakeholders will include the Senior Technical Reporting Manager, Head of Financial Control, Product and Cost Finance teams, Tesco Group and external auditors.
What you'll be doing
* Preparing monthly corporation tax and VAT journals
* Assisting with the completion of year end corporation tax returns
* Helping to prepare year-end tax reporting for the IMS business, working alongside the Group Tax team
* Support with the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
* Supporting all areas of Finance in appropriate tax accounting for and areas of change undertaken by the IMS business
* Supporting the FC Reporting team across other areas of statutory, group and regulatory reporting as required
* Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, primarily other FC teams, Risk, Commercial Finance, Group Tax, Legal
* Proactively identifying and managing the risks within tax reporting, ensuring they are within the IMS business risk appetite tolerance and policies are complied with
We need you to have
* Professional accountancy or tax qualification
* Audit Experience an advantage
* Pro-active attitude and a desire to learn
* Ability to build relationships across a Finance function
* And if you have any of these, even better
* Experience in tax reporting
* Understanding of relevant HMRC regulation
* Experience in Insurance or Financial Services.
* Demonstrable experience of being able to quickly hit the ground running
