We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team on a part-time basis (21 hours per week).
Muirton Community Nursery is committed to providing families with high quality, flexible care and education under the supervision of highly trained and motivated staff. The preferred candidate will be a highly motivated and professional individual who has a real passion for working with children and providing fun, relevant and stimulating activities to allow the children to thrive.
The preferred candidate will have:
Knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence.
Knowledge and understanding of current documents, including but not inclusive of Realising the Ambition, Health and Social Care Standards, Quality Improvement Framework for the Early Learning and Childcare Sectors, My World Outdoors.
Excellent communication skills.
The ability to work within a team as well as use their own initiative.
The ability to create strong bonds with children and their families.
A strong interest in outdoor play and an understanding of its benefits.
A strong interest in loose parts play and an understanding of its benefits.
Knowledge of responsive planning and the ability to contribute to this.
Knowledge of observing, monitoring, and tracking children's development.
Candidates should be qualified to a minimum of SVQ 3 or equivalent. The position will be subject to PVG Scheme and SSSC Registration. Applicants must hold the relevant qualifications before considering applying.
