Total Staff are looking to recruit a Programmer Setter Operator to join our client based in Liverpool.

As a subcontract machine shop, our client manufactures one-offs and small batches, maximizing employee skills, this role includes creating programs, selecting tooling and machining shafts up to 3.2m from various steel grades using advanced CNC Lathes with live tooling and programable steadies, utilizing both C & Y axis machining.
Essential:-
* NVQ 3 or equivalent
* Proficient in programming, setting and operating CNC Lathes with Fanuc Controls
* Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings
* Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Systems
* Experience machining exotic metals e.g super duplex, 718, x 750, Hastelloy, Monel
* Previous experience in a similar role - min 2 years
* Strong planning and organizational experience
* Effective communication with peers and management
* Attention to detail
Preferred:-
* Doosan Lathes (Chuck sizes ranging from 8' to 30') (lenghts from 1mm to 3.2m)
* Manual guide programming capabilities
* One CNC Programming software xsngvjr package
* C & Y axis programming and machining
* Programmable steadies
* Production of valve and pump components
* Serving the Nuclear, Defence Oil, Gas, Fluid and power generation sectors
* Proficient in Office 365 and ERP Systems
Salary £35,000 - to £37500 with O/T £45-48k
Single days Mon-Thursday and Friday 0730-1230
