We are seeking experienced and energetic SEMH mentors to join the team at our partner school in Hailsham.
Our partner school, part of an Ofsted 'outstanding' multi-academy trust, provides a nurturing educational experience for children with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school offers a safe and supportive environment where students can thrive emotionally and physically. While primarily catering to children with SEMH needs, the school also provides additional provisions for other needs, including cognition and learning needs, communication and interaction needs, sensory and/or physical needs, and moderate learning difficulties.

Age range: KS3 - KS4
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only

Role and Responsibilities:
1. Supervising and supporting pupils with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
2. Setting challenging expectations and promoting self-esteem and independence.
3. Providing feedback to pupils regarding their progress and achievement under the guidance of the teacher.
4. Assisting with the planning of learning activities.
5. Monitoring pupils' responses to activities and accurately recording their progress as directed.
6. Promoting good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflicts and incidents, and encouraging responsibility for behaviour.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is essential.
* Devotion and resilience to support children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
