About The Role

Support Students, Unlock Potential, Empower Success - Join us as Student Progression Mentor

As a Student Progression Mentor you will play a key role supporting students in their personal and academic development, helping them to reach their full potential as independent learners.

Your responsibilities will also include support for disaffected and disengaged young people, helping them to optimise their learning opportunities.

Mentoring at EKC is a rewarding role offering the successful applicant opportunities to gain qualifications in Mental Health First Aid, Autism Awareness, Counselling Concepts, Safeguarding & DUST Referrals.

This position is term time working 37 weeks per year, 37 hours per week with a salary of £21,671 including holiday payment.

About You

We are seeking a proactive, compassionate and motivated Student Progression Mentor to join our team.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel is essential, along with flexibility to changing priorities and the diverse needs of students.

As a student progression mentor you will:
* Maintaining accurate records
* Monitor student wellbeing and engagement
* Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment

This is a varied and sometimes challenging position that requires resilience and a non‑judgmental approach. Experience supporting young people with mental health needs would be beneficial.
