Responsibilities
Reporting into the Area Manager, the Pharmacy Practice Manager role is a hybrid of patient care and commercial focus. The role is accountable for delivering all Pharmacy‑related targets and deadlines, and for the management of the store pharmacist and pharmacy colleagues. The Pharmacy Practice Manager will lead, coach and develop the pharmacy team to deliver an excellent patient experience and achieve exceptional levels of patient safety. Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the drive to make Asda Pharmacy best in class.
* Taking direct responsibility for the support and development of all direct reports and locums to maintain high standards of professional customer service and compliance with GPhC operating standards and clinical governance.
* Balancing the role of line manager and pharmacist to deliver safe and effective work.
* Delivering results by inspiring and motivating the team to achieve defined KRAs.
* Comfortably challenging, confronting and solving difficult situations while maintaining strong connections in‑store and with field teams.
Schedule: Rota – Week 1: Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri/Sat 9am‑9pm; Week 2: Mon/Tues/Thurs 9am‑9pm.
Qualifications
* A fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC, accredited to deliver national and local services for NHS and private healthcare.
* Experience in line management and pharmacy practice.
* Valid GPhC registration, right‑to‑work evidence, safeguarding qualifications, DBS check and enrollment in the live update service.
