We are looking for a friendly, organised and customer-focused Receptionist to join our Enquiries, Advice and Guidance (EAG) team. This is an exciting opportunity to become the welcoming face of the College, supporting visitors, prospective students and staff while helping to deliver an outstanding front-of-house and enquiries service. As the first point of contact for all visitors and callers, you will play a key role in creating a positive and professional first impression of the College. You will support the learner recruitment process, provide accurate information, and ensure all enquiries are handled efficiently and with care. In this role, you will: Act as the primary Front of House contact for visitors, callers and general enquiries. Provide clear and accurate advice on courses, admissions, fees and College services. Process learner applications and manage student absences using College systems. Respond promptly to enquiries via telephone, email, face-to-face and written communication. Maintain accurate records, logs and databases to support reporting and follow-up activity. Deliver a friendly, professional and customer-focused experience at all times. Build strong working relationships with curriculum and support teams to ensure seamless service. Support the EAG Manager in developing and maintaining relationships with prospective and current customers. Provide general administrative support including filing, photocopying and data entry. Participate in the reception and switchboard rota to ensure consistent service coverage. Uphold College policies including Health & Safety, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Data Protection and Safeguarding. Contribute to continuous quality improvement within the EAG team. About you You will be an enthusiastic, adaptable and proactive individual who thrives in a busy customer-facing environment. You will bring: Experience in a high-volume customer service environment. Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths. Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to meet targets and manage a busy workload with competing priorities. A flexible, positive approach and willingness to learn new skills quickly.
