An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Assistant Domestic Manager to join the Hotel Services Team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, based at St Mary's Hospital.
You’ll lead on and be responsible for the efficient, effective, high quality, professional and co-ordinated operational management of staff within designated service, site and location, ensuring that the Domestic Service is responsive and service user focused.
You’ll be responsible for a large domestic team, carrying out duties for both in patient, and non-patient environments. This may also entail specialised tasks e.g., cleaning, managing the services budget, training, and equipment within the area of responsibility.
To be successful, you should have a detailed working knowledge of the National Specifications for Cleanliness 2025.
It is essential that you have previous experience as a Supervisor/Manager, managing, delivering and maintaining a domestic cleaning service that achieves a clean, safe and hygienic patient environment in line with Trust best practice, policies, procedures.
Main duties of the job
1. The Hotel Services functions (Catering, Portering, Domestic Services and Helpdesk) operate across the Trust 24 hours/7 days per week.
2. Ensure the provision of high quality, timely, responsive, cost-effective and pro-active services to meet the needs of the wards and departments.
3. Responsible for the management and operation of designated service.
4. To provide direction, guidance and support to ensure the necessary duties are carried out to maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment within the hospital and associated areas.
5. To be responsive to service needs as they arise and constantly seek to improve the productivity and quality of the service.
6. Ensure a professional and seamless service is delivered across.

7. BICSc CPSS or related NVQ Qualification in Health & Safety
8. Good standard of education - GCSE or equivalent
