AK Teaching are supporting a special needs school based in Middlesbrough who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed General Teacher to join their dynamic and supportive team.
About the Role:
You will play a crucial role in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to meet the diverse needs of the learners, who may have a range of complex learning, communication, and emotional needs. You'll work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where every pupil can thrive.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils
* Adapt teaching approaches and resources to suit varying levels of ability
* Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure effective classroom support
* Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining clear records
* Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and external agencies
* Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' emotional and social development
We're looking for someone who:
* Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Has experience teaching pupils with SEND (preferred, but not essential)
* Is passionate about inclusive education and believes in every child's potential
* Is flexible, resilient, and able to adapt to a dynamic learning environment
* Works well in a team and has excellent communication skills
