I am currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering a flagship major infrastructure project in the Bridgwater area.

The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for a significant package of works, working closely with operational teams to ensure successful delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
Full commercial management from procurement through to agreement of final accounts
Cost forecasting, reporting, and budget control
Administration and management of subcontractor packages, valuations, and payments
Identification and management of commercial and contractual risks
Working collaboratively with project managers and site teams
Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team
About You
To be considered, you will have:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or major construction projects
Strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of contracts (NEC experience highly desirable)
Confidence managing multiple work packages and deadlines
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Chartered status (RICS / ICES / CIOB) or working towards chartership (desirable)
