Description
Month end accounting for five entities, including income recognition and posting of journals to recognise accrued income and cost accruals
Monthly commentary to explain variances in actuals against forecast
Balance sheet reconciliations across all balance sheet accounts and entities on a monthly basis
Work closely with other members of the Finance team, including:
The Financial Controller in the preparation of the monthly reporting packs for the Board;
The Financial planning & analysis team in the preparation of budgets and forecasts; and
The Finance Assistant who is responsible for processing invoices and raising payments
Deliver financial information to other stakeholders across the business, including heads of department, to monitor their spend
Challenge areas of underperformance through discussion with stakeholders across the business
Strive for continuous business process improvement
Can also be involved in ad-hoc projects and initiatives, for example new system implementation and statutory accounts preparationProfile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
Experience in preparing management accounts and financial reports.
Proficiency in accounting software and intermediate Excel skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Job Offer
