We have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, ideally with an electrical bias, to join our dedicated engineering team at Florette in Lichfield (WS13 8NF).
Our engineers play a vital role in our business, maintaining a range of specialist machinery and equipment throughout our factory site to supply the nation with our award-winning salads. Working in teams of three on a mixture of planned and reactive maintenance, you will perform cyclical equipment maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and make on-site repairs when needed. The successful candidate will be electrically biased or strongly multi-skilled across both electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines. Experience of refrigeration, chlorine, or compressed air would be advantageous, along with an understanding of food safety.
We're excited about our plans for the Engineering department in 2025, including developing and replacing equipment and implementing new projects. Pay: £51,000 per annum
Working pattern: Panama Shift - 12-hour shifts | 7am-7pm & 7pm-7am | Rotating days & nights | 4On/5Off, 5On/5Off, 4On/4Off
Main Responsibilities
* Day-to-day upkeep of production equipment and machinery.
* Site-wide preventative maintenance.
* Reacting quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
* Equipment repair, technical repairs, and factory start-up and testing.
* Accurate and timely completion of necessary documentation.
Skills and Experience Required
* Recognized qualification in an engineering discipline or a recognized apprenticeship in engineering.
* Experience in repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment in a controlled environment.
* A multi-skilled engineer with strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical engineering.
* Experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
* Strong diagnostic fault-finding capability.
* Understanding of statutory requirements and legislation.
* A proactive health and safety mindset with excellent attention to detail.
