The Post:
The OD & Learning Officer role would work closely with OD & Learning colleagues to identify project priorities and to effectively utilise their capacity to support the overall effective and successful operation of the OD and Learning service to NSS and Public Health Scotland. The postholder will also work with wider HR colleagues, subject matter experts and other stakeholders to support a range of development interventions, which contribute towards the achievement of organisational objectives. This is an interesting and varied role where the post holder will have the opportunity to be involved in a range of projects and OD & L activities. These include:
1. research, co-design and delivery of presentations and learning sessions,
2. evaluation, data analysis and reporting
3. workforce support
4. employability activities and processes
5. translating workforce plan requests into development priorities for the business
The Candidate:
We are looking for candidates with experience in project management methodology, with a high degree of computer literacy including the ability to use databases, spreadsheets, and complex information systems to organise and report on complex information. The ideal candidate will be collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills. They will be proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work on their own initiative, take ownership of tasks and deliver results within set deadlines. The ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage different projects in tandem is important for this role.
Location and Working Pattern:
Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow.
Currently hybrid working.
Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
