Finance Analyst – Project Management

1. Monday to Friday standard day hours

2. 100% on site at Bathgate, Scotland

Our Bathgate location in Scotland, UK is an integral part of Catalent’s European clinical supply services network. The facility has a comprehensive range of capabilities to support sponsors’ studies throughout the UK, Europe and beyond, including clinical supply management, FastChain® demand-led supply, clinical-scale commercial packaging, and QP release services.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Administrator to join our Project Management team, focusing on the financial aspects of the client projects within Clinical Supply Services. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate forecasting, billing, and financial reporting, while supporting cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement.

The Role:

3. Lead Financial Processes: Take ownership of implementing and continuously refining project forecasting and Project Management billing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

4. Billing & Accrual Management: Track project billing milestones and assess accruals. Liaise with the Finance team to ensure timely reporting and issue resolution

5. Forecasting Support: Work closely with Project Managers to forecast planned, won, and potential project revenue, ensuring financial projections are accurate and up-to-date.

6. Monthly Reconciliation: Reconcile monthly Project Management forecasts versus actuals. Report findings to senior management.

7. Client Account Support: Assist in managing client budget and accounts by reducing aged debt invoices and coordinating credit requirements.

8. Time Tracking & Billing: Monitor and verify Project Management hours logged. Ensure all project management fees are correctly captured and billed to clients.

9. Data and Systems Management: Maintain and update internal systems and reports related to clients, projects, forecasts, credit and aged debt, keeping all financial records accurate and accessible.

10. Department Support: Contribute to data analysis efforts and support departmental training as needed.

11. Environmental Initiatives: Actively promote and participate in Catalent’s environmental sustainability initiatives within the department.

The Candidate:

12. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

13. 1–3 years’ experience in a relevant field such as customer service, administrative support, project management, or another business-related role (preferred).

14. Strong IT proficiency, especially in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions like IF statements and pivot tables) and reporting systems (PowerBI).

15. Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities with a high level of professionalism

16. Results-driven and data driven, with a keen eye for detail and ability to problem-solve
