Role Overview
Due to growth, the board seeks to enhance their senior management team with a Sales Director focused on the UK & Ireland. This strategic role reports directly to the board and oversees New Business Development, Client Development, Specification Sales, and Account Management.
Based at the company headquarters in Worcestershire, the Sales Director will develop and execute a sales strategy supporting ambitious growth plans. Key responsibilities include building a high-performing sales team, driving customer acquisition and retention, and expanding into new markets while maintaining the company's strong brand reputation.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
* Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve targets.
* Drive customer acquisition, retention, and market expansion.
* Maintain and enhance the company's brand reputation.
* Collaborate with senior management to align sales and marketing strategies.
Candidate Profile
* Strong understanding of the construction supply chain and specification sales process.
* Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and experience dealing with executive-level clients.
* Proven track record of developing and implementing innovative sales strategies.
* Experience leading and developing sales teams.
* Inspiring leadership qualities and a collaborative approach.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience as a Sales Manager or Director of Sales.
* Languages: English.
* Location: Worcestershire, England.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: £90k-£100k (dependent on experience), plus a quarterly bonus (up to 25% of salary), 23 days holiday + bank holidays, contributory pension, company car/car allowance, and long-term career prospects.
