Neurodivergent burnout costs UK businesses billions annually. Your oversight of our Workplace Programme helps us scale the audits and training that reduce this cost. You aren't just helping an organisation; you are helping redefine the UK economy to be more inclusive and productive.
Building a Permanent Legacy
We are not a one-off project. Your contribution to our board helps build the permanent infrastructure needed for Intellectus Strategies to exist for decades. You are helping to establish an organisation that will be a constant source of expertise and support for the 1 in 5 people who are neurodivergent in the UK.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Systems Thinker. While we value various professional backgrounds, we are most interested in your ability to translate complex problems into actionable intelligence. Ideal experience includes
* Strategic Operations Experience in managing or designing systems in the private, public, or third sector.
* Governance or Business Strategy An understanding of the administrative requirements involved in running a compliant, grant‑ready organisation.
* Service Design or Advocacy Experience in healthcare, education, or workplace inclusivity, particularly where it involves redesigning environments for diverse needs.
The Mindset
* Values Logic and Efficiency You prefer straightforward, high-impact communication over performative corporate rituals.
* Understands Equity You recognise that fairness does not mean treating everyone the same; it means building the specific scaffolding people need to succeed.
* Is Radically Honest You are comfortable providing objective challenge to the Founder to ensure our mission stays on track.
* Is Outcome‑Focussed You are excited by the model of building a permanent, expert structure that can respond to the neurodiversity crisis as it evolves.
You do not need to have prior Trustee or Director experience. We are looking for the right brain and the right values; we can navigate the legal formalities together.

Intellectus Strategies CIC is a neurodivergent-led organisation built to address two distinct challenges: the lack of inclusive workplace systems and the 5+ year NHS waiting times for ADHD and autism assessments. We are a permanent Community Interest Company with a long‑term mission—think of us like the Red Cross; we are the structure with the expertise to respond as needs arise.
Following a board transition, we are seeking a new Non‑Executive Director. This is a designated seat for a neurodivergent professional who understands that high performance and community support are impossible without sustainable, well‑designed systems.
Our Make‑up and Goals
* The Workplace Programme: Auditing and redesigning systems so ND employees can perform without burnout.
* The Community Programme: Providing free, practical tools for those in the 5+ year "diagnostic limbo".
Your Role
* Strategic Oversight: Ensuring our programmes remain rooted in lived experience and practical expertise while maintaining operational excellence.
* Governance Guardrails: Helping us navigate the growth, ensuring we meet the highest standards of transparency and compliance.
