Overview
Birmingham City Council is recruiting for a permanent Customer Service Advisor for the Council’s Contact Centre. The Contact Centre is a core part of operations, supporting Birmingham citizens. The role is full-time (36.5 hours per week) with a starting grade of 2 (salary £24,796–£26,824). This position is subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Respond to customer enquiries, providing accurate information and guiding customers to appropriate council services via digital channels or telephone.
* Handle a wide range of calls from diverse customers, delivering high levels of satisfaction by getting it right first time.
* Provide consistently excellent customer service and achieve positive outcomes for citizens.
* Take ownership of customer complaints, resolving them professionally and compassionately, following the correct procedures.
