About the Role
As School Business Manager, you will play a key role in the leadership of the school, working closely with the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and senior leadership team. You will lead on finance, HR, operations, site, health and safety, and compliance – ensuring that the school runs efficiently and continues to thrive. You will act as the lead professional for all support staff. Key Responsibilities
 * Strategic and operational leadership of the school's business functions
 * Budget management and financial reporting
 * Oversight of HR procedures and staff recruitment (non‑teaching)
 * Facilities, health & safety, and risk management
 * Leading support staff teams across finance, administration and site management
 * Supporting governance and compliance, including procurement and policy development
What We Are Looking For
 * Proven experience in a similar school business or operational leadership role
 * Strong financial management skills and knowledge of school funding and compliance
 * Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
 * A proactive, solution‑focused approach
 * Relevant qualifications (e.g. DSBM, CSBM, or accountancy/HR/business management equivalent) preferred
 * Able to lead, inspire staff and hold to account
