WP-Housing is the specialist volume residential team within Walker Pritchard Partnership providing Employer's Agent, Project Management, commercial advice, CDM Principal Designer and health and safety services to clients delivering affordable housing and build to rent developments.
The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:
· MRICS or MCIOB is preferred.
· Experience Employer's Agent with a proven track record, preferably with experience in affordable housing.
· Experience managing project from inception to completion.
· Well-organised and able to manage a project team.
· Strong communication and client-facing skills are essential.
· Seeking progression and a desire to be actively involved in shaping the future direction of the team and delivery of the growth strategy.
Responsibilities.
1. Project managing and delivering residential projects within affordable housing, build to rent and market sale sectors.
2. Understanding and implementing project modelling and financial viability principles.
3. A sound grasp of development control, funding and delivery standards within the residential sector.
4. To be able to undertake all day to day administrative duties on the delivery of new build housing (and in some case mixed-use) developments under the terms of JCT D&B Contracts or bespoke Development Agreements.
5. Responsible for working on various stages of projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget and to the highest quality.
6. To be able to prepare robust and accurate tender and contract packages.
7. An ability to record, document and instruct necessary actions as required for the delivery of Contracts.
8. To be able to identify aspects of project risk and to seek guidance from Senior Colleagues at the correct time in order to manage and mitigate such risks.
9. An ability to undertake basic functions autonomously, but to recognise when additional or senior input is required.
10. Some experience of Party Wall matters would be an advantage although not essential.
11. Also looking after; full project life cycle, knowledge of CDM, procurement routes and construction contracts.
12. Working alongside senior members of the team to deliver the growth strategy.
Experience/Qualifications.
1. University degree and working towards APC/RICS qualifications.
2. Building Surveying / Quantity Surveying background with a minimum of two years of experience.
3. Full UK Drivers Licence.

6. Negotiation and influencing skills - comfortable navigating contractor negotiations, resolving disputes and securing outcomes that maintain relationships while protecting position.
7. Risk awareness and problem solving - proactive identification of programme, cost and compliance risks — with solutions, not just issues.
