Role Summary
A specialist SEN school in Newbury is looking for a dedicated Autism Support Assistant to join their supportive and experienced team. The school works with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other associated learning or communication needs. As an Autism Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to support pupils throughout the school day.
Responsibilities
* Help students access learning, develop communication skills, and build confidence in a structured and nurturing environment.
* Support pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, implementing tailored strategies that promote independence, engagement, and emotional wellbeing.
* Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to deliver classroom support and track student progress.
Role Details
* Location: Newbury
* Salary: £89-£100 per day
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
* Start Date: ASAP
