Supervise a team of support service assistants to ensure high-quality standards are met. Coordinate and manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, task allocation, and performance monitoring. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and efficient resource utilisation. Job responsibilities
Delivering the Service - On a daily basis, Supervisors will be required to identify and respond to user needs and to solve problems/complaints as they arise. This requires effective liaison with other staff groups, particularly nursing, and actively seeking constructive feedback on service provision. The Supervisor’s role covers a range of services within facilities.
* Train, monitor, and supervise facilities staff in all elements of their role.
* Supervise the handling of clinical waste generated by the estate.
* Work with staff teams and carry out domestic and housekeeping duties to cover service needs.
* Have the knowledge and technical ability to undertake and teach staff the skills necessary for service delivery.
* Support the Trust’s Health and Safety Policy, ensuring staff are trained to ensure safety of staff, visitors, and patients.
* Monitor service areas to ensure standards are met in line with National Cleaning Standards, taking remedial action as necessary.
Monitor ward-level catering services to ensure compliance with food safety legislation and policies. Support reduction of food wastage. Ensure equipment used for service delivery is maintained to required standards. Inform Team Leaders of stock requirements. Investigate and report incidents using Datix. Manage absence monitoring forms and ensure timely return to work interviews. Oversee clock card checks and manage annual leave requests.
