As a Tax Accountant, you’ll work closely with the Tax Manager and wider finance team to support the Group’s corporate tax compliance, reporting and advisory responsibilities. This is a varied role with the opportunity to get involved in areas such as employment tax, transfer pricing, and plastic packaging tax, with full training provided where required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare UK corporate tax returns and supporting analyses
* Deliver tax computations, current and deferred tax notes for statutory accounts
* Prepare IFRS tax reporting for group consolidation
* Support with PAYE Settlement Agreements and Corporate Interest Restriction returns
* Assist with quarterly plastic packaging tax returns
* Contribute to tax governance, transfer pricing documentation, and process improvement
* Provide internal advisory support on UK tax matters
What We’re Looking For:
* A professional accounting/tax qualification or significant relevant experience
* Strong corporation tax and tax accounting knowledge (practice or industry)
* Familiarity with tax software (e.g., Alphatax) and Excel proficiency
* A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
