Position: General Manager
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Circa £45,000 (incl. share of tronc/serv. charge led bonus)
Weekly working hours: up to 48 hours / 5 days (tbc)
Responsibilities
* Overall management and performance of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and profitable daily operations across front and back of house.
* Maintain exceptional service, food quality, and operational standards while driving guest satisfaction.
* Manage staffing, training, and compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.
* Oversee budgeting, cost control, and profitability.
* Coordinate with Directors, the Head Chef, and managers to implement business strategies, reservations, events, and supplier relationships.
* Ensure accurate cash handling, financial reporting, and seamless communication between kitchen and front of house teams.
Qualifications
* Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
* UKVI‑compliant English literacy.
* Minimum 3 years (ideally 5) in a General Manager or senior restaurant management role.
* Relevant Health & Safety credentials and knowledge of HACCP protocols.
* Resident within a commutable distance of up to one hour.
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in culinary arts or a related field.
* Performance‑, achievement‑ and results‑driven.
* Time‑management skills.
* Ability to work well with others.
* Hardworking, fastidious, and conscientious.
