Senior BIM Technician Location: Cardiff

Were working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy that is looking to grow its Cardiff office with the addition of an experienced Senior BIM Technician. The Role:
This is a key role within a well-established BIM and engineering team. You will be responsible for producing high-quality, data-rich 3D models and 2D drawings using Revit across a range of building sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, and residential.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading defined modelling tasks and delivering coordinated BIM outputs
Setting up MEP project models, views, sheets, and tags; ensuring model health throughout project lifecycles
Supporting project coordination through clash detection and model integration
Participating in internal and external model reviews and contributing structured feedback
Supporting and mentoring junior team members and assisting in training delivery
Utilising automation tools such as Dynamo and RF Tools to streamline workflows
Supporting CDE systems such as BIM 360 / ACC and contributing to change management processes
About You:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, with hands-on experience delivering MEP projects
Familiarity with CDE platforms (e.g., BIM 360 / ACC), clash detection tools, and workflow automation (e.g., Dynamo)
Strong attention to detail and an organised, proactive mindset
The ability to work independently while also supporting coordinated team delivery
A willingness to mentor junior team members and contribute to broader digital initiatives
