Base pay range
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for commissioning, maintenance, and customer support on the company’s water treatment installations across the UK and internationally.
Responsibilities
* Install, commission, and troubleshoot equipment (UV, ozone, water treatment systems).
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance at customer sites.
* Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
* Prepare detailed service reports and complete visit checklists.
* Train customers on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
* Assemble and test equipment at the factory when required.
* Collaborate with production and engineering teams on technical issues.
* Prepare, inspect, and pack goods for shipment when necessary.
* Deliver or collect materials using the company vehicle.
* Advise on stock levels and spare parts needs.
* Provide technical assistance to the sales and after-sales departments.
* Work safely, including during lone working.
* Strong skills in reading electrical diagrams, PLCs, and mechanical systems.
* Good understanding of inverters and control systems.
* Proficient in MS Office and general IT tools.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and solution‑focused.
* Professional and confident when facing customers.
* Full UK driving licence and valid passport required.
* Experience with UV, ozone, or industrial water treatment systems.
* Knowledge of steam plant or boiler systems.
* Experience in workload planning and coordination.
* Understanding of technical upselling techniques.
