Business Support Administrator & Administration Support Officer

Social Finance Limited is seeking two Administrator roles across two different teams within Social Finance, both teams require experienced, capable professionals. These roles are ideal for individuals who are already established and successful in administration.

Location: Hybrid — London SE1. The Business Support Admin role requires daily site cover at our London office.

These roles will provide consistent, high-quality administrative and business support across the organisation, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The posts support colleagues, visitors and managers with core team and office administration, coordination and practical support, and play an active role in anticipating needs, improving ways of working and helping the organisation run efficiently.

The postholders will provide consistent, proactive and reliable administrative and business support, working closely with colleagues, managers and external stakeholders. They will anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and play an important role in improving ways of working across the organisation.

Business Support Administrator (Central Team)

This role sits within a central business support function, reporting to the Governance and Business Support Lead. This role provides core administrative and office support across teams. It includes responsibility for inbox and phone support, coordinating visitors and meetings, maintaining records, arranging travel and processing expenses, and ensuring office and team logistics run smoothly. The role suits an administrator who enjoys being a reliable point of contact, managing multiple requests, and keeping things organised behind the scenes in a busy environment.

We are open to this role being part-time Monday to Friday (daily on site cover is required), hours would need to be agreed (e.g. mornings or reduced hours each day).

Administrative Support Officer (IPS Grow)

This role provides dedicated administrative support to a complex, nationally delivered programme working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. It includes coordinating meetings, supporting governance processes, preparing papers and presentations, managing action logs, and supporting reporting and contract‑related activity. This role suits an administrator who is confident working with senior stakeholders, comfortable handling detailed information, and experienced in supporting structured programmes or projects.

IPS Grow is a well-established service, led by Social Finance and is funded by NHS England, OHID and the DWP to support the expansion of IPS services across mental health and drug and alcohol teams.


Responsibilities


Administrative & Business Support

* Provide high‑quality administrative support to a team or programme, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations
* Act as a first point of contact for queries (including shared inboxes), responding professionally and triaging appropriately
* Maintain accurate records, shared systems, documents and trackers
* Prepare, format and edit correspondence, reports, presentations and other documentation


Meetings, Coordination & Diary Management

* Coordinate internal and external meetings, including diary management, booking rooms, circulating papers, minuting meetings and managing action logs
* Support the scheduling of complex meetings involving multiple stakeholders
* Liaise confidently with internal teams, partners and external organisations
* Prepare meeting materials and support effective governance processes where required
* Arrange travel and accommodation, including group bookings
* Process expenses, purchase orders and supplier set‑ups accurately and on time using internal systems
* Track and manage costs related to meetings, travel and ad‑hoc activities


Systems, Data & Reporting

* Use Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) confidently to manage information and support reporting
* Support basic data collation, spreadsheets and internal reporting processes
* Use collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Teams and/or Slack to manage work efficiently
* Take ownership for tasks, following through reliably and with attention to detail
* Anticipate team needs, think ahead and flag potential issues
* Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes, systems and ways of working
* Provide flexible, ad‑hoc support and contribute to special projects as required


Skills and Experience

* Proven experience in an administrative, office coordination or business support role
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
* High levels of accuracy, reliability and attention to detail
* Confident communicator, able to engage professionally with colleagues and external stakeholders
* Strong IT skills and confidence using standard office systems
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision while being a collaborative team member

Working at Social Finance
