Your Role as a SpLD Teaching Assistant
As a SpLD Teaching Assistant, youll be focused on supporting pupils with speech and language challenges working under the guidance of the schools SENCO and, where applicable, external therapists. Youll be making a direct impact on pupil confidence, interaction, and learning across the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Delivering tailored support to pupils with speech and language development needs
* Working one-to-one and in small groups to strengthen communication and vocabulary
* Collaborating with teachers to adapt classroom resources and strategies
* Encouraging social interaction, listening, and expressive language skills
* Recording observations and contributing to pupil progress reports
