Working pattern: 5 days per week on site

About the role
We're looking for an experienced Health and Safety Site Delivery Plant Manager to lead the strategic management, operational performance and legal compliance of all plant, machinery and lifting equipment (including associated training) across the programme.
You'll ensure full compliance with LOLER, PUWER, relevant BS/EN standards, HSE guidance/ACOPs, and the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
Key responsibilities
* Ensure plant and lifting equipment is safe, inspected, certified, maintained and legally compliant at all times.
* Lead plant assurance audits, support Area Assurance Plans, and strengthen programme-wide safety culture.
* Review H&S and environmental documentation from contractors to ensure it is suitable and sufficient.
* Investigate incidents/near misses and produce toolbox talks and learning materials.
* Oversee statutory inspections, thorough examinations, and record-keeping (digital and physical).
* Lead the development of the Sizewell C Lifting Academy and hazard training schools.
* Support Construction/Project Managers with safe plant and lifting procedures, including lifting plans and SSoW documentation.
What you'll bring (essential)
* Extensive experience in construction plant management.
* Strong working knowledge of LOLER, PUWER and lifting/plant-related British Standards.
* Good understanding of HSE compliance and statutory inspection requirements.
* Experience managing plant registers and compliance systems.
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
* Membership of a recognised industry body (e.g. CPA or similar).
* IOSH Managing Safely / IOSH membership.
* Experience implementing digital asset management systems.
* Training delivery experience/qualification.
