Business Banking Lending Director
Purpose of the role
To manage and develop existing and new products and/or services; and where applicable, ownership of related customer and colleague journeys, develops the product strategy, drives change through Barclays execution teams, makes key decisions in the product lifecycle, and owns associated outputs for customers, colleagues, and the bank, achieved through appropriate service level agreements, regulatory compliance, risk management, and controls.
Accountabilities
* Development of customer-level strategies & solutions tailored to customers' needs.
* Subject Matter Expert in the applicable Product/Proposition team, guiding stakeholders on product application and customer journeys.
* Development of product propositions and service strategies, defining priorities, and leading execution.
* Development of commercial and business models understanding financial drivers of the P&L.
* Evaluation of technical feasibility, legal compliance, and risks related to new product launch.
* Monitoring market trends and feedback to refine products before launch.
* Managing launch plans, marketing strategies, training, and communication channels for new products.
* Monitoring key metrics to assess product performance.
Director Expectations
* Managing a business function, contributing to strategic initiatives, and managing teams or projects.
* Providing expert advice to senior management, managing resources and budgets, and ensuring compliance.
* Monitoring external environment, regulations, and industry practices.
* Demonstrating leadership behaviors aligned with Barclays values and mindset.
* Leading the Business Banking Lending product team, driving customer journey enhancements, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.
