Job Description: FULL TIME - Front of House Restaurant Supervisor - The Fig & Olive - 45 hour contract

Location: The Fig & Olive

Reports to: Restaurant Manager

Role Overview

As the Front of House Restaurant Supervisor at The Fig & Olive, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the restaurant. Supporting the Restaurant Manager, you will lead the team in delivering the highest standards of service, maintaining our reputation for excellence, and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Leadership: Supervise and inspire the front-of-house team to consistently deliver exceptional service.
* Customer Service: Act as the main point of contact for guest inquiries and concerns, ensuring issues are resolved swiftly and professionally.
* Team Development: Assist in training, mentoring, and supporting staff to grow their skills and confidence while on shift.
* Operational Efficiency: Oversee daily operations, including table management, reservations, and opening/closing procedures.
* Health & Safety: Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are met and maintained.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and management teams to ensure seamless coordination during service.
* Proactive Problem Solving: Handle challenges effectively, ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly during peak times.

Skills and Qualifications

* Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant environment is essential. Supervisory experience in hospitality is highly desirable.
* Customer-Centric Approach: A natural ability to build rapport with guests and handle feedback professionally.
* Organizational Skills: Capable of prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively in a busy environment.
* Leadership Qualities: Positive, approachable, and motivational with excellent communication skills.
* Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
