ROLE SUMMARY:
Reddam House Berkshire is a flagship UK school of the successful Reddam House International group. Set in 125 acres of wood and parkland, housed in a magnificent mansion building.
Throughout the school our emphasis is on independence; we expect our students to work hard in the belief that success is in his or her own hands. From babies in our Early Learning School through to our Sixth Formers moving on to University, students are active participants in setting the direction of their educational journey, developing a love of learning and being empowered with the self-discipline that provides the bedrock for success.
We have 800+ students between the ages of 3 months and 18 years are registered here (day students and boarders from age 11+). Children are recognised as individuals with unique skills to celebrate and given tailored support and guidance at each stage of their school career.

We currently have a vacancy for a Science Technician working 25 hours per week during term time (including attendance at Open days and INSETs) to start on Monday 3rd November 2025.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Senior Science Technician (and the Head of Science as Line Manager), the post holder will provide support to the science department including assisting in experiment set-up, ensuring suitable laboratory equipment is available, adequately maintained and that it is appropriately used, also to ensure that good laboratory practices are employed by all users promoting a safe working environment.
General responsibilities include: maintaining a productive working environment; liaising with both pupils and teachers in preparation of practical experiments; stock taking; proper disposal of chemicals; retrieving and putting away equipment and any ad-hoc tasks delegated to you by the Senior Science Technician or Teachers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
* Education at GCSE and A level in a science based subject
* Familiarity with practical science
* Proven experience in working in a school environment, desirable
* Ability to engage and motivate young people
