The Role We are seeking a Project Director with a Mechanical bias to lead the delivery of a large-scale Shell & Core project with multiple floors of fit-out in Central London. This is a pivotal leadership role with full accountability for operational, commercial, and client outcomes, reporting directly to the UK Regional Director. What You’ll Do Lead the end-to-end delivery of a major M&E project, ensuring quality, safety, and profitability. Manage all stakeholders including clients, consultants, and main contractors, building strong relationships to secure repeat business. Oversee design development, procurement strategy, and project planning from pre-construction to commissioning. Implement and maintain robust risk management and change control processes. Ensure accurate cost control, financial reporting, and adherence to KPI-driven project targets. Drive performance and engagement across your project team, providing leadership, mentoring, and development. Uphold Designer Group standards across health & safety, quality assurance, and compliance. Identify opportunities for value engineering and process improvements. What We’re Looking For Extensive experience in a senior leadership role delivering large-scale M&E projects (preferably Shell & Core). Strong mechanical bias, with deep understanding of building services engineering. Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments. Commercial acume n with experience in budget control, procurement, and contract management. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
