Company Overview

Coinford is a groundworks and concrete frame specialist delivering contracts ranging from £1 million to £50 million throughout London and the Southeast of England.

Role Purpose/Objective

We are excited to welcome a Graduate Civil Engineer to our growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all stages of our groundworks, RC frame, and infrastructure projects—from pre-construction through to project delivery.

Based at our Head Office in Smallfield with site visits to various projects, you will be part of our drive to embrace new technology, systems, and ideas to stay at the forefront of the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

GPS Modelling, Earthworks Volumetrics & CAD

* Use AutoCAD and N4CE to create survey-grade 3D models for roads, drainage, and foundations, supporting 3D Machine Guidance technology.
* Conduct cut-and-fill volumetric studies for tenders and live projects to determine material balance and inform build strategies.
* Apply knowledge of construction methodologies and temporary works to develop practical solutions.
* Collaborate with project teams, communicating designs, timeframes, and troubleshooting issues.
* Maintain strong revision control to ensure all DTM files reflect the latest design updates.

UAS (Drone) Surveys & The Built Environment

* Operate drones and post-processing software to calculate stockpile volumes and produce topographic surveys using point cloud and photogrammetry data.
* Deliver as-built surveys and 3D models of completed developments.

Experience And Skills Required

* Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (or in the final stages of study).
* Industrial placement or relevant work experience is beneficial but not essential.
* Knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
* Civil engineering background with an understanding of build processes, materials, and structural principles.
* Enthusiastic to learn and develop engineering and construction expertise.
* Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working both independently and in teams.
