The Alex Begg Group is a Scottish-based manufacturer of premium woven and knitted cashmere products. Operating under the brand names of Begg & Co and Alex Begg, we have progressive manufacturing mills in Ayr and Hawick. We produce premium products such as scarves, throws and knitwear all produced using the finest luxury fibres including cashmere, silk, and merino wool.

Innovation Planning Manager
The Role:
The Innovation Planning Manager is responsible for the quality, timeliness and commercial relevance of the innovation team output across the Alex Begg Group. Ensuring continual proactive development of new products, as well as fulfilling our customer commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Control and maintain oversight of the planning and prioritisation of work-flow across the full innovation team; both weave and knit, in co-ordination with production planning and the CIO.
* Make commitments to our customers and internal stakeholders with clear communication of design and sample lead times and ensure the innovation team meet these dates.
Knowledge, skills and experience
* Understanding of textile processes including weave, knit and finishing, would be an advantage.
* Degree educated.
* Driving licence.
* Exceptional communicator.
* Strong influencing & people management skills.
* Attention to detail and be able to sift through detail to pinpoint priorities.
* Excellent time management & organisational skills.
* Experience of a matrix organisation, global stakeholders.
* An understanding of woven and/or textile manufacturing processes.
* Commercial understanding of the luxury fashion market.
* Well-rounded IT Skills.
* Passionate about process improvement and experience of delivery.

Schedule:
* Monday to Friday 37 hours per week.
* This role is split between two sites, Ayr and Hawick, with time at each split fairly and depending on business requirements.
* Location is flexible as long as you are willing to travel to both sites and understand that frequent travel between each site is essential.

Qualifications
* Proven skills in innovation and strategic planning, with an ability to develop and implement detailed project roadmaps
* Strong organizational and time management abilities to oversee complex product development schedules
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills for effective coordination with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
* Proficiency in analyzing data and using tools for project management and process optimization
* Knowledge of the luxury textiles industry or a similar design-focused field is advantageous
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation, with a keen eye for detail
