Responsibilities for the role of Arboricultural Consultant include:
10. Provide the highest standard arboricultural consultancy services, observing best practice and adhering to the relevant British Standards
11. Undertake arboricultural surveys, utilising the data to inform high-quality reports
12. Prepare and submit quotes, bids, and tenders for a range of clients across the public and private sectors
13. Manage a range of projects
14. Liaise with the Business Unit Manager to ensure identifying profitable projects and adhering to budgets
Required skills and experience for the role of Arboricultural Consultant include:
15. A strong academic background (ideally holding a Degree) in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a similar, relevant discipline
16. A Level 4 qualification in Arboriculture (or actively working to attain this)
17. Extensive experience of undertaking tree surveys within a consultancy or commercial setting
18. Excellent working knowledge of Visual Tree Assessments (VTA), having developed surveys in alignment with the relevant British Standards (i.e., BS5837:2012)
19. Demonstrable experience of writing high-quality, precise Arboricultural Impact Assessments (AIA) and Method Statements
20. Outstanding communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organisational skills
21. Strong proficiency in writing accurate reports, and delivering their contents in clear and engaging ways to a variety of clients and other stakeholders
22. Extensive experience of using the relevant arboricultural systems and software packages, such as THREATS, CAVAT, TEMPO, RAVEN, and iTree, etc.
23. Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, GIS and CAD systems, and tree survey software
24. A full, valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (including business insurance coverage)

25. Able to work on your own initiative, and as part of a high-performing team
26. Possess a good knowledge of the region and surrounding areas
27. Excellent time management skills
28. Willing to travel to a range of sites, as and when required
