The Role
Working within a collaborative business development team, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and helping to shape winning sales strategies across a diverse international customer base.
The position offers a hybrid working model, with regular UK and international travel to customer sites, industry events, and exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and develop opportunities for specialist products and engineering services
* Build and manage strategic relationships with new and existing customers
* Develop and execute account growth plans focused on revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction
* Engage with stakeholders at all levels to understand current and future business needs
* Create and implement targeted sales campaigns
* Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting
* Support the development of compelling proposals, presentations, and bid submissions
* Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
* Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions
About You
You will be a proactive, commercially minded professional with strong relationship-building skills and a passion for developing business opportunities.

Desirable Experience
* Knowledge of the marine sector, including naval, submarine, surface vessel, defence, or maritime technology markets
* Experience in account management and business development
* Proposal writing, bid support, and sales presentation experience
* Understanding of international markets and customer landscapes
* Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
