and What You'll Be Doing
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Website Manager to take ownership of irwinmitchell.com and lead its strategy, performance and continuous optimisation. This is a high-impact, senior role within our Business Development & Marketing function, where you’ll shape how our website supports business growth, brand trust and client acquisition.
Following our recent migration to Sitecore XM, you’ll be instrumental in embedding new ways of working across the business, ensuring teams fully leverage the platform’s capabilities. You’ll lead a team of specialists across analytics, CRO and UX, and work closely with colleagues in marketing, data, IT and the wider business to deliver an exceptional digital experience.
You’ll be joining a collaborative, ambitious team at a time of significant digital transformation. This role offers real ownership, influence and the opportunity to shape how one of the UK’s leading law firms shows up online.

What You’ll Be Doing
1. Owning and delivering the end-to-end website strategy, with clear roadmaps aligned to brand, marketing and business objectives.
2. Leading the ongoing optimisation of the website to improve user experience, increase conversion rates, drive web enquiries/leads and reduce customer acquisition costs.
3. Developing and sharing robust performance reporting across key KPIs including traffic, conversion rate, enquiries/leads and acquisition costs.
4. Embedding effective processes across teams to maximise the benefits of the Sitecore XM platform.
5. Providing insight into user behaviour and journeys to inform content planning, brand storytelling and conversion activity.
6. Working with data and IT teams to support data integration and marketing automation that enhance lead generation and user experience.
7. Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing team of digital specialists.
8. Collaborating closely with marketing, SEO, IT, data and other stakeholders to ensure a joined-up and impactful online presence.
9. Partnering with the SEO Manager to support organic growth across search and generative AI.
10. Overseeing content quality, governance and optimisation to ensure it is accurate, engaging and SEO-friendly.
11. Managing relationships with external agencies and technology partners.
12. Ensuring website activity complies with GDPR and other relevant regulations.
13. Staying ahead of digital trends, emerging technologies and the evolving role of AI in web experience.
About You
Essential experience and skills:
14. Extensive experience in website management within a complex organisation.
15. Strong hands-on experience with Sitecore or a comparable enterprise CMS.
16. Proven leadership and line management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop specialist teams.
17. Strong analytical capability, with experience turning data into actionable insight.
18. Experience delivering CRO, UX and performance optimisation initiatives.
19. Solid understanding of SEO best practice.
20. Excellent project management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
21. A proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focused approach.
Desirable:
22. Experience in a professional services or client-centric environment.
23. Exposure to marketing technology integration and automation.
