Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service are looking for an Administrative Support Officer to join our Service Support Team, which provides administrative support to various teams and officers throughout Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service, assisting them to carry out their roles. This role will include data input, information collation and provision, filing and document management, and acting as an initial contact point with the public, other organisations, and internal customers.
Applicants must possess confident communication skills and excellent written skills. They must also be able to use their initiative, prioritise work and meet deadlines. Developed keyboard skills are required with a minimum of OCR RSA Word Processing Stage 2 (or equivalent). At least 2 GCSE passes at A–C grade (or equivalent), one of which should be English Language. Experience in Microsoft Office, including electronic diary management, is essential.
The position will be based primarily at Headquarters, St Michael’s Street, Shrewsbury, but will occasionally require reception cover at Telford Training Centre, Stafford Park 1. Both locations provide free car parking.
