Location:

Salary:

£23,810 pro rata per annum

Hours:

22.5 hours per week

You're caring, flexible, and creative. You thrive under pressure, know how to connect with people at all levels, and genuinely enjoy helping others live independently. Join Waythrough's White Gables as a Recovery Worker and be part of an organization that relies on the professionalism, insight, and passion of its staff to inspire individual recovery.

White Gables is a 24-hour crisis service supporting individuals experiencing mental health crises, operating on a recovery model. We offer various support services in the community, including outreach, peer support, and supported housing for residents aged 18 and upwards.

Recovery varies for each individual. With the right support at the right time, recovery is possible for everyone. As a Recovery Worker, you will help and inspire service users to maintain their tenancy and independence, working with them to develop personal support plans aligned with their goals—whether developing domestic and financial skills or accessing work, leisure, or educational opportunities. Your contributions will truly make a difference.

No prior experience is required as full training will be provided. Candidates with understanding of mental health issues or lived experience are encouraged to apply. The key qualities are your caring, compassionate nature, empathy, enthusiasm, and ability to work independently and in a team. You should also be willing to participate in a weekly rota and be available for on-call duties.

In return, we offer excellent benefits, training, and development opportunities.

We value learning and development, offering a wide range of apprenticeships. Anyone in a permanent role who has passed probation can apply for relevant apprenticeships.

Waythrough was launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship (RF). Aquarius, a subsidiary of Waythrough, supports people affected by substance use or gambling in the Midlands. We are specialists in mental health, addiction, and related areas, providing high-quality, evidence-based services designed around the needs of those we support. Our vision is to break down barriers to support, enabling people to live fulfilling lives.
