What you will do: Manage a caseload of Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children cases in accordance with statutory duties and local procedures Undertake assessments, direct work, and interventions under Sections 17 and 47 of the Children Act 1989 Develop, implement, and review outcome-focused care and safeguarding plans in partnership with children, families, and multi-agency professionals Lead safeguarding activity, including core groups, child protection conferences, and statutory reviews Prepare high-quality reports for legal planning meetings, court proceedings, and permanency planning where required Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) Completion of ASYE or relevant post-qualifying experience within children's social care Registration & Compliance: Registered with Social Work England Strong knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and statutory safeguarding frameworks Understanding of Public Law Outline (PLO), court processes, and permanency planning principles Coventry is not only a city rich with history and culture but also a vibrant place to work and live.
