Job Title: Adults Support Workers (Promoting Independence Assistants). Based in Worcester with travel across the county. Part-time and Full-time roles available (to be discussed at interview). Salary: £13.26 - £13.47 per hour (plus 8% enhancement for Sunday working) + £250 welcome bonus*.

Responsibilities
As a Support Worker (Promoting Independence Assistant) in reablement, you’ll help our customers regain and promote their independence and continue living in their own homes, following hospital discharge or crisis intervention. This includes helping clients relearn skills in life activities, such as personal care (washing, personal hygiene, dressing), mobility support, and meal preparation. You will provide support in a way that helps people to do things for themselves rather than doing things for them. Initially hands-on assistance may be required, but Promoting Independence Assistants will enable and encourage service users to do as much as possible themselves.

Requirements & About You
We are looking for people who can demonstrate a can-do attitude, are proactive, compassionate, and empathetic, with a commitment to developing the lives of people and providing care and support. You should have good communication and organisational skills, and an understanding of health, safety and wellbeing of service users in their own homes. Travel within Worcestershire is required, so a full driving licence and own vehicle is essential.
Additional Information
The service runs from 7am to 10pm with various shift patterns. This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; appointment is conditional upon a satisfactory DBS disclosure. We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
