They are looking for a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant who can provide both in-class support and targeted small group interventions across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This role would suit someone with experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and a passion for inclusive education. Key Responsibilities: Support class teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons. Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning and promote progress. Provide additional support to pupils with SEND, helping to meet their educational and emotional needs. Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence and confidence in learners. Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and general day-to-day tasks. Work closely with teaching staff, the SENCO, and parents to support pupil development. Essential Criteria: Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification ( or equivalent experience ). Recent experience working with children in a primary school setting. Good understanding of the primary curriculum and child development. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Desirable: Experience supporting children with SEND, including ASD, speech and language needs, or SEMH. Familiarity with delivering phonics sessions and supporting literacy and numeracy interventions. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and inclusive classroom practices.
