About the Role
As a Court of Protection Solicitor, you will manage a varied caseload involving deputyship applications, mental capacity issues, and safeguarding vulnerable clients. You will provide expert advice and representation in Court of Protection proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle all aspects of Court of Protection work including deputyship applications and statutory wills
* Advise clients on mental capacity law and best interests decisions
* Draft legal documents and prepare applications for the Court of Protection
* Liaise with clients, families, and professional deputies
* Maintain compliance with regulatory and firm standards
* Deliver exceptional client care and build strong relationships
Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor (NQ considered) with experience or interest in Court of Protection work
* Strong knowledge of mental capacity law and private client matters
* Excellent communication and client care skills
* Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
* Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office
